Games are played on Saturday mornings into midday. All CLCF Development League games are played at the John Chafee Sports and Recreation Complex on Hope Road in Cranston, known locally as "Briggs" (see Our Facilities).
The commitment in time will depend on the level and season you are playing. In clinic there are Saturday morning sessions which are generally one hour each. In U8 and above, most coaches will start with two practices per week in the Fall and scale back to one. In the Spring there is usually one practice per week. Practices take place on week nights and are determined by our coaches' availability.
In all age groups and seasons, games are played Saturdays between 9AM and 2PM.
Generally speaking our Fall Season begins on or about the Saturday after Labor Day and continues through October. The Spring season starts in early April and continues through mid-June.
Players in the Fall development program will be contacted by their coach approximately 2 weeks before the season starts. Players in the clinic program will receive notice of their assigned Saturday morning slots approximately 10 days prior to their start. If you've registered, and do not hear from one of our volunteers by the respective time, please send an email to askus@clcfsoccer.net. Please include the player's name, date of birth and a phone number or email address you can be contacted at.
We hold the checks until the refund deadline had passed to ease the processing any requested refunds.
Development (aka Rec) practices occur on weeknight(s) and at a location chosen by your child's coach. Generally there will be one or two practices a week depending on the coach and team schedule in the fall session, and one practice a week in the spring session.
The clinic program is more instruction oriented, there are no additional practice sessions. Players are broken into groups and assigned Saturday morning times. All sessions occur on Saturdays.

Unfortunately we can only accomodate requests of this nature to insure siblings in the same age group are on the same team, or for players associated with the sponsor of that particular team. Please note that a child of a team coach is automatically assigned to that team within our age group requirements.
No, players may not play in a higher or lower age group than their birth date allows. Players found falsifying their birth date to play in a different division are subject to dismissal from CLCF programs.
